Red Pencil (International) offre l’opportunità a 1-2 arte terapeuti certificati di partecipare ad un intervento nelle aree colpite dal terremoto in Indonesia.
“The Red Pencil (International) is in the midst of coordinating an upcoming mission in Lombok, Indonesia, to bring arts therapy to victims of the severe earthquakes that took place earlier this year in August. The mission will last for 10 days and will be conducted in partnership with a local non-profit organization and 2 certified Indonesian art therapists (with the assistance of a group of students from the Faculty of Visual Art & Design, Bandung Institute of Technology).
The objective of the mission would be to help the victims (mainly children and their families) use art as a tool for community building, and to provide them with the support they need to overcome the challenges they may face in the process of rebuilding their lives.
The transportation (including return flight), insurance, food and accomodation will be covered by The Red Pencil.
We are looking for 1-2 certified arts therapists to join this mission.
Batu Rakit Village, North Lombok, Indonesia
Timeline of Mission:
21 December 2018 – 1 January 2019 (10 Days)
*As many communities were deeply affected by the earthquakes, there is a possibility for the mission to continue as a 2-month residency in order to provide trauma-healing for the locals over a longer period of time.
• Certified and experienced arts therapist (with a Master’s degree in arts therapy (or equivalent qualification);
