Il Blog di Art Therapy Italiana vi segnala questa entusiasmante inizitiva ideata da Magdalena Karlick, (Southwestern College) e Gretchen Miller (Art Therapy Alliance ). Il progetto si chiama : Spaces and Places: Where We Create (Spazi e Luoghi: Dove Noi Creiamo ) Il progetto vuole far conoscere e divulgare gli spazi, i settings, e i materiali artistici che la comunità dell’arte terapia usa nella sua pratica, per creare nuove idee e nuove riflessioni.
Possono inviare immagini: gli arte terapeuti , gli studenti di arte terapia e le Associazioni Artistiche. Questo evento fa uso dei social network e delle foto digitali spedite e mostrate via Facebook , Flickr e Instagram. I partecipanti vengono invitati a spedire una o più immagini del loro spazio creativo e dei loro preferiti “attrezzi del mestiere”.

Art Theraphy Italiana Blog recommend this interesting and exciting project developed by Magdalena Karlick, (Southwestern College) and Gretchen Miller, (Art Therapy Alliance ). The project is called: Spaces and Places: Where We Create and is now accepting submissions from art therapists, art therapy students, expressive art therapists, and art organizations for this photo documentary project that aims to provide education, awareness, inspiration, and understanding about the spaces & places, settings, populations, and materials that the art therapy community works in and uses within their practice. This collaborative event using social media and digital photo sharing via Facebook, Flickr, and Instagram invites participants to submit a photo or photos of their creative work space and favorite tools of the trade. The project will be accepting submissions until May 31, 2012. I saw the full documentary and it is a wonderful testimony to the role of creative arts in working with those with Alzheimers. It was so good to have validation for what we art, dance, and music therapists already knew, that the arts provide not just self expression but alternative pathways to the self thought to be lost to Alzheimers. It is a must see. Here the trailer.

Ricordo meglio quando dipingo
Ho visto l’intero documentario e penso che sia una testimonianza meravigliosa del ruolo delle arti creative con l’Alzheimer. E’ stato cosi bello avere una conferma per quello che noi arte, danza e musico terapeuti già conosciamo , che l’arte consente l’accesso non solo alla espressione di sè ma un è un sentiero alternativo per il “pensiero del Sè” andato perso nell ‘Alzheimer. Va sicurament visto. Ecco il trailer
